About MeI am an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University, Canada. My areas of research expertise include intersectionality, care work, immigration, and technologies of surveillance. My current research interrogates the role pre-employment screening plays in managing undocumented Caribbean care workers within the labour force in the U.S. and Canada. I am a licensed attorney with an immigration specialization and 2020 recipient of the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship who has engaged in interdisciplinary work in the fields of immigration law, refugee resettlement, and diaspora studies.
